AeroVolga is a Russian aircraft manufacturer specialising in the design and production of light aircraft and seaplanes. Founded with the aim of developing versatile aircraft suitable for a variety of purposes, AeroVolga is distinguished by the production of amphibious and floatplanes. These aircraft are used in various applications, including passenger transport, tourism and agricultural work.
The Aerovolga represents an excellent expression of classic aviation, evoking a timeless and adventurous appeal. The partnership between Max Pinucci and his design studio, MBVision, and AeroVolga spans seven years. This collaboration goes beyond mere interior design and aircraft styling to include communication strategies. Starting with aspects ranging from brand identity to product design, we helped itĀ also offers the opportunity to explore iconic locations, such as the Volga River in its southern course, through the flight of aircraft. The origin of this collaboration dates back to meetings at AERO Friedrichshafen, culminating in the realisation of the Luxury interior for the Borey and the VIP interior for the LA-8, as well as the related communication strategy. This synergy also fostered further international academic collaborations.
The project
It is named after Borea from Greek mythology. The Borey is designed for training and is equipped for night flying. The airframe is made of fibreglass and carbon fibre with fabric-covered wings and elevators. The aircraft has a flying boat hull and manually retractable conventional landing gear with a swivelling tail wheel for amphibious operations.
For the Borey project, we carried out an in-depth analysis and took great care with every aspect of the communication strategy. This process involved an ongoing dialogue with the corporate team, allowing us to develop a detailed and targeted plan.
We created brochures that not only highlight the aircraft’s technical performance, but also present its aesthetic and functional features, including its livery and interior, in an eye-catching manner.
In addition, with a view to participating in the AERO trade fair in Friedrichshafen, we designed a series of promotional materials, including brochures and gadgets, and designed an exhibition stand to capture the public’s attention. This approach ensured a strong and consistent presence of the company at the event, helping to strengthen its brand image and generate interest around the Borey project.
In terms of interior design, we conducted a detailed analysis of the volumes and spaces available on board the Borey. Based on this assessment, we developed creative and functional proposals for the interior, including distinctive styles, the use of high-quality materials and colour palettes suited to the context and overall design vision.
This approach enabled us to create an interior environment that not only meets the practical needs of passengers, but also helps define the distinctive identity and experience offered by the Borey aircraft.
